Terms of Service

1. About SurfPortugal

SurfPortugal operates a marketplace platform that helps tourists find, request, and book surf camps, schools, and stays in Portugal. We are a booking coordinator — we do not operate surf schools or camps ourselves. The surf experience you book is provided by an independent partner camp (“Partner”).

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using www.surfcampsportugal.pt, submitting a booking request or inquiry, or paying a reservation deposit, you agree to these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and our Booking and Cancellation Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

3. SurfPortugal’s Role

  • SurfPortugal connects tourists with Partner camps and facilitates the booking process.
  • We collect a reservation deposit on behalf of the booking coordination service (see Payment Terms).
  • We are not a party to any contract for surf lessons, accommodation, or other services between you and the Partner. Once you are connected to a Partner after deposit payment, any remaining balance and the delivery of the service is between you and the Partner.
  • SurfPortugal does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or suitability of any surf camp or school listed on the platform. Verified status means we have confirmed business registration and listing accuracy at the time of verification — it is not a quality rating or endorsement.

4. Tourist Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information in booking requests (dates, party size, skill level).
  • Respond to communications from SurfPortugal and Partner camps in a timely manner.
  • Read and agree to the Partner’s own cancellation and house rules before completing a booking.
  • Ensure all members of your group meet any skill or age requirements specified by the Partner.
  • Pay the remaining balance directly to the Partner as agreed.

5. Partner Responsibilities

Partners must comply with the Partner Terms. Partners are responsible for providing accurate listing information, responding to booking requests within the agreed SLA, and delivering the booked service as described.

6. Prohibited Use

You may not use SurfPortugal to:

  • Submit false, fraudulent, or misleading information.
  • Circumvent the platform (e.g., attempting to contact Partners outside the platform to avoid the deposit).
  • Scrape, copy, or reproduce listing content without permission.
  • Harass, abuse, or threaten Partner camps or SurfPortugal staff.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Portuguese and EU law, SurfPortugal is not liable for: loss or damage arising from a Partner’s failure to deliver a booked service; personal injury during surf activities; force majeure events (weather, natural disaster, pandemic); or indirect, consequential, or special losses.

Our total liability to you in respect of any booking shall not exceed the amount of the reservation deposit paid to SurfPortugal for that booking.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on www.surfcampsportugal.pt — text, images, and trademarks — is owned by or licensed to SurfPortugal. You may not reproduce it without written permission.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Portugal, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer under EU law.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated by updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the platform after an update constitutes acceptance.
