Cookie Policy

1. Do We Use Cookies?

SurfPortugal does not use advertising or tracking cookies. We do not place any cookies that identify you personally, track you across websites, or build advertising profiles.

2. Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics — a privacy-first, cookieless analytics tool — to understand how visitors use the site in aggregate. Plausible:

  • Does not use cookies or local storage.
  • Does not collect personal data or IP addresses.
  • Does not track you across websites.
  • Is GDPR-compliant without requiring a cookie consent banner.
  • Stores anonymised, aggregated data on servers in the EU.

For more information, see Plausible’s data policy.

3. Essential Browser Storage

Some pages may use browser sessionStorage or localStorage for temporary, on-device state — for example, preserving your progress through a multi-step form. This data stays on your device, is not transmitted to any server, and is cleared when you close the browser tab or window.

4. Third-Party Cookies

When you pay a reservation deposit, you are directed to a Stripe-hosted payment page. Stripe may set cookies for fraud prevention and session management under their own cookie policy. We have no access to or control over Stripe’s cookies.

5. No Consent Banner Required

Because we do not use tracking or advertising cookies, we do not show a cookie consent banner. If this changes — for example, if we add chat support or additional tools that require cookies — we will update this policy and implement an appropriate consent mechanism.
