Carrapateira is a tiny village on the Costa Vicentina — the most pristine stretch of Atlantic coastline in continental Europe — with two exceptional surf beaches. Bordeira is a vast, powerful beach break with consistent surf and a dramatic dune-backed landscape that stretches for kilometres with almost no development. Amado beach, a few kilometres south, is more sheltered and popular with beginners and improver surf schools.
