About Surf Camps Portugal
We connect surfers with independent surf schools, camps and stays in Portugal—so you can focus on the waves.
Our Mission
We want every surfer visiting Portugal to find the right school, camp, or stay—without the guesswork. Searching and sending requests is free: you tell us where you want to go, what you're looking for, and when, and we connect you with local partners who fit your style and budget. If a partner confirms your dates, you pay a 15% booking fee (VAT included, part of the total price) to book.
How Booking Works
Browse listings by town and service type, or use our match form to get a shortlist of recommendations. Submit a booking request for the camp that fits you best. The camp confirms availability, then you pay our 15% booking fee via Stripe — that confirms your booking. Once paid, you receive the camp's full contact details to arrange your arrival, and you pay the remaining 85% to them directly on arrival.
Why Portugal
Portugal’s Atlantic coast offers world-class waves, consistent swells, and a surf culture that’s hard to beat. From Peniche and Baleal to Ericeira and Nazaré, we focus on the regions we know best. Our partners are local businesses that live and breathe surf—so you get real expertise, not generic tours.
What We Check — and What We Don’t
What it means:
- Every listing is reviewed by our team before it goes live.
- Partners give us their business’s legal name, tax number (NIF) and address, and accept our Partner Terms, in which they confirm they hold the registrations and insurance the law requires.
- Accommodation listings show the AL or RNET registration number the partner gives us. A “Reviewed by our team” label shows the date we last reviewed a listing’s details with the partner.
What it doesn’t mean:
- We don’t inspect premises, check instructors’ qualifications or check insurance policies, and a listing is not a quality rating or a guarantee. We don’t run the surf schools or camps ourselves.
- Always confirm anything important — levels, safety, what’s included — directly with the partner.
